The building site was once the headquarters location for the logging industry. The home is a “lighthouse” that anchors the historic bay of water and recalls the history of this site, integrating a style and scale that blends in with neighboring homes. An open floor plan takes advantage of the homes South facing elevation and water views with a Passive Solar design Strategy. Spray-foam insulation helps to save the clients nearly ½ of the energy costs compared to their previous home of similar size.
