Downsizing into a retirement home, this home is perched on a hill overlooking a valley of trees.  A front porch affect was designed to cantilever over the hillside, toward the street, and become a nest to view the valley below.  A praire aethetic helps the design become “one with the site.”  The interior spaces expand with large corner glass and cathedral volumes.  The open floor plan is detailed with ceiling gestures, small home details, and building massing to provide subtle spatial definition.
