Drawing from seaside cabin typologies and Door County style, the form of the building defines the spaces.  Corner glass expands the sense of  interior space and brings Nature into the homes.  Openness within the lower level is achieved by steel beams centered around a central fireplace.  The home was sited around existing trees to shelter the home from the road.  The exterior stone chosen to recall the shadows and colors of the forest, and become camoflage.  Sunrise deck and sunset deck form outdoor spaces.  We saved all excavated Earth and replaced to preserve the natural seeds in the soil.  Rafter framing and sprayfoam insulation allow a low profile exterior to a steep/volumetric roof solution.
